John A. Woods Appraisers has been providing professional appraisals for insurance, sale, tax and estate for the past twenty years.

Mr. Woods received his A.B. from the University of Baltimore in 1967 and his M.A. from the University of Connecticut in 1968.

In 1976, he formed John A. Woods Appraisers in South Windsor, Connecticut.

He is active in National and International Out-Of-Print Market through Print and Internet Resources.

Mr. Woods is a Senior Member of the American Society of Appraisers

And an International Examiner. He is also a Member of the Appraisers Association of America and a Member of The Manuscript Society.

He has represented book dealers and private collectors at auctions and provided donation letters for Internal Revenue purposes under the contributions Section of the Tax Code.

Mr. Woods is a Consultant for the Library of the Hartford Medical Society.

Edward C. Swift
Appraiser of Antique Furniture 

Mr. Swift received his B.S.M.E. from Northeastern University in 1952.

His professional experience included 34 years at United Technologies in Engineering and 10 years in Antiques Preservation and Restoration. Since 1986 he has been associated with Edw G. Swift Associates.

He was an Accredited Senior Appraiser of the American Society of Appraisers from 1992 - 1998 (retired).

His advanced professional education includes Personal Property 1: Fundamentals of Valuation, 1988; Personal Property 2: Research Procedures and Analysis, 1989; Personal Property 3: Report Writing, 1989 and Personal Property 4: Applied Ethics and the Law, 1990.
